Senior Pipeline Engineer
Responsibilities
The job will involve some or all aspects of the following:
- In cooperation with our onshore pipeline team, contribute to update and implement our onshore pipeline strategy plans
- Build high level relationships with identified key customers and explore new opportunities in close cooperation with our Customer Service Managers
- Systematic interaction (meetings, dialogues, workshops, presentations) with customers in order to identify the customer's needs and implement associated customized solutions based on the totality of DNV’s service portfolio
- Understand and stay updated on the current industry development and trends and have overview of projects in other regions
- Systematic training and development of less experienced/younger engineers
- Be active and visible in the onshore pipeline community – committees/conferences/forums
- Develop a strong internal network and relationship to other departments and regions
- Identify and take a lead responsibility for strategically important tenders and proposals, secure such projects and follow up to ensure a successful completion.
Qualifications
Your education, skills and experience will include, but may not be limited to:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Pipeline, Mechanical, Materials or Civil)
- Experienced pipeline capacity – 10 years minimum onshore Industry experience with 5 years minimum of direct pipeline operation experience
- Knowledge in the following is not essential but desirable;
•Pipeline related defects (corrosion, cracking, dents, manufacturing)
• In-line inspection technologies and associated data
• Defect, remaining life and risk assessment techniques
• Failure analysis and fitness for service assessment
• Integrity management program development
• NDE procedures (magnetic particle inspection; ultrasonic inspection, mechanical damage profiling

•Able to combine theoretical knowledge and practical skills

• Eager to learn and develop yourself
