New versions of the industry leading tools DeepC, GeniE and HydroD
DNV Software has recently released DeepC v.4.3-04, GeniE v5.0-15 and HydroD v 4.2-04.

The programs can be downloaded from our downloads pages.
DeepC
version 4.3-04 includes better graphics as a new visualisation engine is implemented – the viewing has now the same quality as in GeniE. Furthermore, the user can start the post-processor Xtract from inside the DeepC graphical user interface; in other words no need to exit the program to do post-processing.
GeniE
version 5.0-15 will significantly improve
- design of space frame structures as a redesign and automated design iterations are implemented,
- reporting of space frame attributes like forces and stresses (envelopes included),
- modelling of complex surfaces as a curve net interpolation modelling technique is available and
- analysis of FPSO’s since there is a direct import of the loads according to the DNV 1A1 standard.
HydroD
version 4.2-04 now gives the user the option to use Wadam or HydroD to compute the mass matrices. It also includes quadratic roll damping in Wadam (this requires that Wadam version 8.1-08 is installed). In case the user has imported the structural model into HydroD, it is now possible to start the linear structural analysis (Sestra) from inside the HydroD user interface. The meshing of free surface for time domain analysis is significantly improved and allows for more user control of the mesh density. Time domain analysis has been extended to also include Stoke’s 5th order wave theory for infinite water depth. Finally, when making a sea state it is possible to specify a cut off period for irregular wave conditions.
