New releases of Maros and Taro Refinery

We are pleased to announce new releases of the Safeti Performance Forecasting products focusing on usability improvements and enhanced reliability related logistics capabilities.

Maros version 8.2 and Taro Refinery version 4.2 have been released and are available for download from the DNV Software Customer Portal. The new features are largely aimed at creating a better user experience by improving the efficiency when it comes to building models. This means that more time can be spent on getting the right inputs and analysing the results.

The major new feature in both products is a failure mode and scheduled activity table view, where events can be added, edited and viewed. This means that models are built and modified more quickly, and that quality control of the input becomes easier.

A number of improvements have also been made when it comes to scheduled activities, enabling better maintenance planning and more effective quality control of the inputs. A Gantt chart to view the scheduled activities has been added for this purpose, as well as alignment, exclude and stagger settings for individual events.

For Taro Refinery the Bulk Transport feature has been improved. This improvement is two-fold

  • A delivery schedule for delivery slot management enables a rule set to be defined for rejecting cargo in case the slots on the customer side are missed
  • An option allowing the transport route between supplier and customer to be broken down into individual legs has also been added. This enables journeys to be defined with distance and maximum speed rather than being time based.

Depending on available information, more detailed studies of logistics constraints in the Performance Forecasting models can be carried out because of these improvements.
