SA-11 PhastMultiComponent2_392x140

Course code:SA-11
Duration:1 day
Dates:on request
Venue:on request
Course fee:GBP1,500 or USD2,650 per instructor per day

Description
The multi component extension allows users to simulate the release of mixtures more accurately within a range of the consequence simulation models in Phast. The training course covers the capabilities and limitations of the enhanced multi-component (MC) methodology.

In this course, the multi component functionality is demonstrated and understanding of this methodology is enhanced by worked hand calculations. The training also highlights the applications ability to perform point property calculations and flash calculations. It also introduces methods of manual workarounds to complex modelling problems not covered by the standard functionality.

Learning objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will understand and be able to use the multi component release modelling in such a way that it can be used appropriately and efficiently within hazard analysis investigations and QRA studies. They will be able to create a range of multi-component mixtures and use these to generate scenarios using the MC Vessel model.

Target group
Experienced risk analysts with previous experience using Phast or Phast Risk. The training does not cover Phast and Phast Risk usage and assumes delegates are already familiar with the software.

Prerequisite
The course is suitable for users who are already familiar with Phast and have previously attended SA-01 Phast introduction training. SA-03 Phast advanced discharge modelling and SA-04 Phast advanced dispersion and toxic modelling would be of benefit but are not mandatory.
